A larger than average 1960’s style brick veneer residence in Bairnsdale, was used by the owners as their holiday home. It had a ducted air conditioning system throughout, but time had caught up with the split system. The owner wanted to increase the capacity of the old system to deliver exceptional cooling performance on days when the sun bakes down in East Gippsland. ABL recommended a Fujitsu split ducted system, replacing like for like.
Ducted air conditioning is a whole home solution that allows you to condition multiple rooms or the entire house using just one system. The indoor unit is located in the ceiling, the outdoor unit in a suitable location outside the home.
Conditioned air is circulated via a network of ducts in the ceiling, with outlets in virtually every room. The temperature and hours of operation are controlled by a simple and easy to use control panel. All Fujitsu ducted air conditioners are reverse cycle.
The change-over was done in just one day. To account for the upgrade, new pipes were run between the outdoor and ceiling unit and new ducts were installed in the ceiling. The existing ceiling outlets were retained and the outdoor unit readily slotted into the same space previously used by the old unit.
